0 Winterlesen /Winter Reading

Das Gras ist so grün wie eh und je, aber wenigstens ist es Dezember, also habe ich mir endlich die Zeit genommen, das "Winterlesen" Stöckchen zu bearbeiten, das komischerweise schon seit Oktober kursiert, und das über Lioba zu mir kam, die übrigens auch das Banner gemacht hat :-)
     The gras is a green as ever, but at least it's December, so I've finally taken some time to work on the "Winter Reading"-tag that strangely already exists since October and that came to me through Lioba, who has also created the banner.

1. Kuscheldecke: Welches Buch findest du so schön, dass du es immer wieder lesen wirst und auch nie weggibst? /Blanky: Which book do you find so beautifully written, that you will read it again and again and never give it away?

Der kleine Prinz. Das ist ein Buch, das einfach wunderschön ist. Ich kann manche Sätze minutenlang mehrmals lesen, oder das Buch zuklappen und zufrieden über den einen einzigen Satz grinsen, bevor ich weiterlese. Leider ist das Buch zu klein und zu dünn zum kuscheln oder umarmen.
     The little prince. That's a book that simply is beautiful. I could read some sentences again and again for several minutes, or simply close the book and grin happily about a single sentence before I read on. Regrettably the book is too small and thin for cuddling and hugging

2. Heißgetränk: Welches Buch hast du voller Vorfreude gekauft und warst dann ziemlich enttäuscht? /Hot drink: Which book did you buy of anticipation and then it embarrassed you?

Odessa und die geheime Welt der Bücher. Ich habe wochenlang das Cover und den Klappentext angestarrt, immer und immer wieder. Das Buch war komischerweise in Plastikfolie verpackt, also konnte ich nicht reinschmökern, was für mich das Schlimmste überhaupt war, denn die äußere Form verhieß mir so einiges. Dann las ich das Buch und fand es einfach nur banal. Damals war ich zwölf und seitdem bin ich von jeglichen Coverkäufen und Klappentextversprechen geheilt. Ich muss reingeschmökert haben, oder eine Empfehlung von jemandem bekommen haben, von dem ich weiß, dass er a) weiß, wem er was empfiehlt oder b) einen ähnlichen Buchgeschmack wie ich hat.
     Little Odessa (I don't know what the actual English title of this book or if there is even an English issue). I've stared for weeks at the cover and the blurb, again and again.The book was packed in plastic sheet, so I couldn't read in it, which was the worst thing in the world for me, because the outside seemed so promising. Then I read the book and just found it banal. I was twelve and since back then I'm healed from judging books by their cover and blurb. I must hav read in them, or have a recommendation by somebody, fromm which I know that he a) know whom he recommends what or b) has a similar taste as me.

3. Schokolade: Welches Buch war dein absoluter Pageturner, sprich welches hast du in kürzester Zeit verschlungen und genossen? /Chocolate: Which book was your absolute  pageturner, which book have you devoured in the shortest possible time and enjoyed it?

Mein erster Dan Brown Roman, das war "Diabolus" -übrigens, der Roman berichtet mal eben so nebenbei Ende der 90er über die NSA und was die so tun. Das war, bevor ich gemerkt habe, wie ähnlich die sich alle sind und von da jeden einzelnen Dan Brown Roman ziemlich schnell bis zur Hälfte durchgefressen hatte, aber erst Wochen später beendet habe. Eine ziemliche Eintagsfliege war auch "Zeitsplitter -die Jägerin" von Cristin Terill, das habe ich morgens begonnen und abends beendet. Oder Harry Potter und die Heiligtümer des Todes. Das war übrigens das Buch, das mich zu der Wrtneuschöpfung Lesekater inspirierte, denn ich war quasi so berauscht davon, dass ich es nicht aus der Hand legen wollte, obwohl es schon weit nach Mitternacht war.
     My first Dan Brown, that was "Digital Fortress" -by the way, the novel tells just like that in the end of the nineties about the NSA and what they do. That was, before I realized, how similar they all are and from then on I was very quickly at the half of every Dan Brown book I read, but took weeks to read the end. Quite a mayfly was also "All our Yesterdays" by Cristin Terill, I began it in the morning and ended in the evening. Or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That was by the way the book that inspired to the neologism reading hangover, because I was quasi so "druggy" of the book. that I didn't want to give it away, even though it was far after midnight.

4. Buch: Welches Buch liest du derzeit und wie gefällt es dir bis jetzt? /Which book are you reading at the moment and how do you like it so far?

 Momentan lese ich parallel "Draußen wartet die Welt" von Nancy Grossmann und den zweiten Band von Artemis Fowl. Beides mag ich eigentlich soweit ganz gerne, auch wenn ich bei "Draußen wartet die Welt" eben annehme, dass es da wieder um so eine Beziehungskiste geht und bei Artemis Fowl manches teilweise so gekünstelt und übertrieben ist, dass man sich um Charakterentwicklung keine Gedanken machen muss (die Charaktere entwickeln sich nämlich meiner Meinung nach so gut wie gar nicht. Aber ich finde das okay so, die Handlung ist witzig und schön absurd)
Ach jaaa... und da ist noch "Ulysses" von James Joyce durch das ich mich gerade abends durchzuwursteln versuche, bei dem ich aber täglich vielleicht fünf von mehr als neunhundert Seiten schaffe. Das Buch ist schon ein verzwicktes.
     I'm currently reading at the same time "A world away" by Nancy Grossmann and the second book of Artemis Fowl. I like both quite well, even though of "A world away" I exspect a relationship thingie and Artemis Fowl is so affected and exaggerated, that you don't have to worry about character development (in my opinion the characters almost don't develop. But I think that's okay, the plot  is funny and wonderfully absurd)
Ah yeees... and there's "Ulysses" by James Joyce that I'm trying to muddle through in the evenings, but where I only manage to read about five of more than ninehundred pages. That book really is a hard one.

Bereits auf diversen Blogs gefunden, unter anderem bei Neyasha und auf i-am-bookish. Ich fand die Fragen sehr interessant, und habe ihn mir einfach mal mitgenommen :-)

Deine Harry Potter Geschichte; deine erste Begegnung mit Harry Potter? /Your Harry Potter story; your first encounter with Harry Potter?

Als ich sechs war, haben meine Eltern mit mir den ersten Film angeguckt. Allerdings nicht bis zum Ende. Gerade an der Stelle, wo sie an der Teufelsschlinge vorbei waren, haben mich meine Eltern ins Bett geschickt und ich habe den Film erst Jahre danach, als ich auch die Bücher endlich gelesen hatte, bis zum Schluss angesehen.
     When I was six years old, my parents watched the first movie with me. But not completely. Just at the point, where they were past the devil's snare, my parents sent me to bed and only years after, when I'd read the books already I finally watched the movie until it's end.

6 Nachholpost für 52 Bücher /Catch Up post for 52 Books

Während ich meine Blogpause gemacht habe, hat Fellmonsterchen fleißig weiter wöchentlich ihre Mottoi (ich muss diesen inoffiziellen plural einfah nur oft genug benutzen, dann wird er schon noch offiziell) veröffentlich, deshalb veröffentliche ich mal wieder einen Nachholpost zu dem Projekt.

Das am meisten gelesene Buch /Your most read book

Das war bei mir früher vermutlich früher vermutlich ungeschlagen das Buch meines Lebens. Ich habe es in der Grundschule in Dauerschleife gelesen, das war schon heftig und andere Bücher bloß parallel dazu. Es las sich allerdigs auch innerhalb weniger Stunden. Es war "Das Land der 35000 Wünsche" von André Maurois und auch wenn ich es immer weniger mochte, weil die Hauptfigur Doris am Ende nicht mehr ins Traumland reindarf weil sie gut in der Schule geworden ist fand ich es irgendwann doof. Irgendwann wurde ich nämlich auch besser in der Schule und das Trotzempfinden beim Lesen richtete sich immer mehr auf dieses Land, das irgendwie auf Unruhestifter stand. Und bem letzten Umzug ist es verloren gegangen. Manche der Ideen spuken mir aber trotzdem immer noch im Kopf herum -seit ich dieses Buch gelesen habe, will ich irgendwie mal eine Höhle in einen Mammutbaum schnitzen.
     This was probably formerly my unbeaten book of my life. I've read it in elemenary school nonstop again and again, that was quite heavy, and other books only by the way. However you could read it in a few hours. It was "In the Land of 36000 Wishes" by André Maurois and even I liked it less and less with the time, because the main characters Doris in the end isn't allowed to enter the dreamland because she had become a good student I found it from sometime stupid. Because I also improved at school and the defiance when reading was more and more against that country that somehow liked troublemakers. And when we last moved we lost it. Some of the ideas nevertheless still flurry around my mind -since I read this book I someday want to carve a cave in a Redwood tree.

Fußball WM vorbei -und nun? /End of the soccer world cup -and now?

Ehrlich gesagt ist mir hierfür nur was von meiner Wunschliste eingefallen, aber egal. Fußball war also gestern. Dann ist heute wohl Quidditch angesagt. Tja, hier ist Quidditch in Wandel der Zeiten. Mehr kann ich auch nicht dazu sagen. Ich schätze mal, dass die meisten, die sich dieses Buch kaufen, diejenigen sind, die einfach nicht genug von Harry Potter kriegen. Und der Zusammenhang zu Fußball ist hoffentlich ersichtlich :) (Allerdings, nebenbei bemerkt lief die Quidditch-WM, die in Patagonien stattfand zur selben Zeit stattfand wie die Fußball-WM in Brasilien. Ginny Weasly ist offenbar Sportreporterin beim Tagespropheten geworden und war live dabei ;)

To tell the truth, I only had a book from my wish list on my mind, but well, never mind. So soccer was yesterday. Well, then today it's time for Quidditch. Yes, this is "Quidditch Through  The Ages" with the German Cover. I don't have to tell more. I suppose that most of the people buying this book are those who can't get enough of Harry Potter. And the connection with soccer is hopefully clear :) (But, by the way, this years Quidditch World Cup in Patagionia was at the same time the soccer world cup was organized at the same time the soccer world cup was held in Brasil. Apparently Ginny Weasly has become a sports reporter at the Daily Prophet and was part of the event there ;)

Ein Zauberbuch oder ein zauberhaftes Buch /A book of wizardry or a magical book.

Für einen Fantasyfreak wie mich ist das eine generell leicht zu beantwortende Frage, aber ich habe trotzdem ein bisschen gestöbert (hatte bei mir ja quasi freie Wahl und wieder Harry Potter wäre wirklich langweilig gewesen) und habe mich schließlich für ein Kinderbuch entschieden, das ich immer noch liebe. "Gummiguttas neues Haus" von Carsten Ström. Es ist sowohl ein Zauberbuch als auch zauberhaftes und es ist einfach perfekt für Kinder. Ich konnte mich als kleines Mädchen wahrscheinlich gar nicht wehren, dieses Buch zu lieben. Wobei kleine Kinder leicht mit solchen Geschichten zu locken sind. Ein Haus aus Süßigkeiten, eine nette Hexe, die den Kindern auch noch erlaubt so viel zu essen wie sie wollen, sprechende Suppenrüben, eine Hausmeister, der gerne Räuber wäre (aber immer nur Kleindiebstähle bei Verwandten begeht, die er eventuell gefragt hat, weil er sich mehr nicht traut) und noch herrlich viel mehr absurder Quatsch, den man als Kind nur allzu gerne geglaubt hätte. Tja. Für alle Kinder und kindischen Erwachsenen und Teenager ein sehr zu empfehlendes Buch.

For a fantasy freak like me that's generally easy to answer, but I still looked around a bit (I quasi could choose anything and again Harry Potter would have been boring) and I finally decided to choose a children's book I still love. "Gummiguttas New Home" by Carsten Ström. It's as well a book of wizardry as a magical book and it's simply perfect for children. As a little girl I probably couldn't fight to just love this books. Whereas little children are easy to catch with books like this. A house made of sweets, a nice witch, that allows the children to eat as much as the want, talking soup beets, a janitor who would like to be a robber (but only commits petty thefts at relatives he eventually asked before, because he doesn't dare more and even more admirable absurd nonsense as I child I'd loved to believe. Well. For all children and childish grown-ups and teenagers a very recommendable book.
